Forest of Crécy walk Close to the town of Crécy-en-Ponthieu the forest stretches out for miles. Crécy forest is one of the largest forests in France. From the parking pull-in you’ll see a hard-surfaced forest track. This is ideal for buggies, kids on bikes and wheelchair users and it goes on for mile after mile. Smaller paths lead off the track and are great for exploring more of the forest, and trying to spot wildlife and interesting plants and toadstools. In season you may be lucky and find berries to snack on.
In the countryside, quiet lanes (for horse-riders, cyclists, farm vehicles, walkers and the occasional car) are indicated with red and white bollards at either end and are roughly the equivalent of a Bridleway. Footpaths are indicated by coloured symbols stencilled onto trees or other upright structures at eye level. Dog Etiquette Without a language barrier, dogs from either side of the Channel will interact normally with each other.
